Reflecting on 2024: Lessons Learned and Plans for 2025 with Stephanie Clairmont

As we bid adieu to 2024 and welcome the new year with open arms, there’s a sense of optimism that 2025 will be our year. Coming from a self-proclaimed “chronic optimist” like myself, you know I’m thrilled about our potential to evolve and grow. This year-end episode of The Leveraged Practice Podcast is all about reflecting on the past year, sharing what I’ve learned, and how these lessons will shape our journey in the upcoming year.

 

The Journey of The Leverage Practice

To set the stage, let’s go back to where it all started. The Leverage Practice was born in April 2019, with a mission to help health professionals create, market, and sell online programs and digital products. Our goal has always been to help you scale back on one-on-one hours and build a sustainable, profitable business.

From hitting six figures in our first year to experiencing explosive growth during COVID, our journey has been one of constant learning and adaptation. Maintaining a steady revenue of $650,000 to $750,000 between 2021 and 2024 showed us the importance of not just scaling quickly but doing so sustainably.

 

Key Lessons from 2024

  1. The Discerning Buyer: This year, we witnessed a significant shift in buyer behavior. Today’s buyers need more touchpoints before making a purchase decision. As a business, this means providing more resources, guidance, and opportunities for prospects to get to know and trust us.
  2. Marketing Evolution: With discerning buyers, our marketing strategies needed a revamp. Gone are the days when a single live event could convert cold traffic effectively. We’ve diversified our touchpoints and introduced various free and paid events, along with lower price point products, to better nurture our audience.
  3. Price Point Shifts: While higher-ticket products still have their place, 2024 taught us the importance of having a diversified product portfolio. Offering multiple price points not only protects your business but also provides a seamless pathway for customers to invest in higher-value offerings over time.
  4. Team Dynamics: Managing a team of six full-time employees was a learning curve. However, we found that efficiency can sometimes trump quantity. Running 2024 with a leaner team allowed us to streamline operations without compromising on revenue, highlighting the power of strategic hiring and task delegation.
  5. Prioritizing Personal Time: One of the most valuable lessons was the importance of making time for personal well-being. Whether it’s to attend my children’s events or simply to chill out, creating space for myself has been crucial for maintaining balance and fostering creativity.

 

Plans for 2025

  1. Efficiency and Structure: We’ll continue to leverage the systems and efficiencies we’ve built, focusing on sustainable growth. The goal is to not only maintain but scale our financial successes while keeping our operations lean and effective.
  2. Expanding the Team: While 2024 was about trimming down, 2025 might see us adding another team member in the marketing and sales department, likely as a contractor, to continue our upward trajectory.
  3. Increased Personal Fulfillment: On a personal note, I plan to bring more fun and adventure back into my life. From snowboarding to exploring new hobbies, balancing work with enriching personal activities will be a priority.
  4. Product Portfolio Expansion: With the success of various price point products in 2024, we’ll continue to offer diverse options to our community. Our focus will remain on delivering high-value courses and support systems that cater to different needs and budgets.
