Ep. 292 Make Sales Every Day into Your Health Programs with These Funnels

If you’re a health professional, clinic owner, or private practice provider trying to scale your impact with online programs — but you’re not seeing daily sales come in — it’s probably not because your program isn’t good.
It’s your sales system.
In this post, I’m going to walk you through a simple funnel strategy that works specifically for the health industry. One that allows you to sell your program, course, or digital product every single day — without relying on discovery calls, DMs, or hoping someone clicks a random button on your website.
It’s the same strategy I’ve used to help thousands of health professionals sell their programs more consistently, and it’s the exact approach I used to build a $4M online business myself — starting back in 2013.

Why Your Current Sales Tactics Might Be Falling Flat
Many health professionals are being told to “just get on calls,” post more content, or drive traffic to a generic sales page. But here’s the truth:
📌 People don’t want to talk to you — not yet.
Today’s buyer wants to sample your work first. They want to understand your process, feel confident that your approach can help them, and build trust before they commit.
And when you’re selling an online program — whether it’s a $27 digital download or a $1500 hybrid program — the rules are different than selling in a clinic.
Sample Selling: The Secret to Everyday Sales
I call it Sample Selling — and it’s essential in today’s crowded, online world.
Think of it this way: Your audience needs a taste of your expertise in order to say yes to the full program. You wouldn’t walk into a store and buy a $200 face cream without trying a sample, right?
In your business, that “sample” is created through:
- A strategically crafted lead magnet (freebie)
- A nurture email sequence that builds trust
- A low-ticket product that lets them experience a win before they buy more
Let’s break these down.
The Must-Have Funnels to Make Daily Sales
If you want consistent revenue, you need to build at least two — ideally three — core funnels into your business.
1. The Lead Magnet Funnel
Your lead magnet is your first impression.
There are two types of lead magnets we teach at The Leveraged Practice:
- ✅ A Downloadable Guide (5–7 pages max)
- ✅ A Free Class or Workshop (can be live or evergreen)
Both give people a first step in your process and introduce your framework or approach. But here’s where most health pros go wrong…
❌ You’re teaching too much.
❌ You’re giving too many tips and tools.
❌ You’re overwhelming instead of helping.
If your freebie looks like a textbook or a checklist with 37 bullet points, you’re unintentionally pushing people away.
Your lead magnet should give one clear step. Help them understand a core concept. Deliver one small win. That’s it.
Then, follow up with a thoughtfully written email sequence that feels like a real conversation — not a pitchfest.
2. The Low-Ticket Offer Funnel
After your freebie, give your audience the opportunity to buy something small. This is often called a tripwire or entry-level offer, and can act as another first step sample of your work. You can also send cold traffic directly to this type of product too. We recommend to our clients this product is under $50.
This might be:
- A mini course
- A paid version of your guide with bonus content
- A 1-hour class or workshop
This low-risk purchase helps people take the next step without overthinking it. It turns a lead into a customer and continues the Sample Selling process.
Real Example: The Funnel That Sold My Program Every Day
Back when I was running my nutrition business, I had two main products:
- An ebook called The IBS Master Plan ($19)
- A group program
I built two funnels using the free content method I shared above:
- A guide funnel that sold the ebook
- A free class funnel that sold the group program
Over time, I got to a point where I was selling at least one of each every day, automatically.
The key? Each funnel was intentionally designed with:
- A compelling lead magnet
- A strategic email follow-up
- An easy path to buy
No discovery calls. No “pick my brain” sessions. Just automated, value-driven systems that worked.
The 3 Biggest Mistakes Health Professionals Make With Freebies
If you’ve already created a lead magnet but it’s not converting, here’s what’s likely going wrong:
1. Too Much Teaching
Don’t give away your entire framework. Give one slice — one concept — and make it powerful.
2. Too Many Concepts
Even if your audience is smart, they’re tired. Give them fewer rocks to step on. One rock, one step.
3. No Strategic Follow-Up
Your emails matter. You need a sequence that mimics a real conversation, not a lecture or hard sell.
