Ep. 121 Thinking Outside of the SLP Box with Jocelyn Wood
Listen on your favourite podcast apps like iTunes or Spotify.
It’s interesting to have been given this 1-1 model throughout our education, and now with the changing times and technology, we are able to innovate and find ways beyond that 1-1 model to better serve our clients.
The idea of a hybrid program, where you can do your 1-1 sessions, and use a community so your clients don’t feel alone and can learn together, or using online education by recording some of the techniques you use, can drive better results for your clients, and actually give you more of your time back as a practitioner.
In this week’s episode, we chat with Jocelyn Wood, a bilingual speech pathologist. She explains how The Leveraged Practice Program helped her to think outside the box to shift her practice online.
Steph and Jocelyn discuss:
- how you can still have a human connection while serving your clients online
- the value of providing a community for your clients
- exploring a variety of digital learning tools
